Special Recreation Camp

Served as an Assistant site supervisor camp counselor for York County parks and recreation. Special Rec is a summer camp catering to children aged 6-21 with disabilities. There I assisted the campers with arts and crafts, field trips, games, movies, and other fun activities.

C.A.T.S: Children Assistive Technology Services | June 2025

• Helped with the cleaning, take down and assembly of donated assistive technology devices for children with disabilities at no cost.

Harbor's Edge Healthcare, Memory and Assisted living Unit | April 2024-May 2025

• Volunteered and observed weekly therapeutic activities for residents under the supervision of a CTRS on the Memory, Healthcare and Assisted living floor.

Health Professions LLC event,  Admitted Students day, ODU RT Symposium | September 2025 & April 2025

• Public spoke to freshmen educating and advocating for the field of RT at the LLC and admitted students day. At the Symposium I was responsible for greeting and the check in table for students and alum.

ODU Mighty Monarchs | November 2024 & March 2025

• An adaptive sports program for children with disabilities where I partnered with a child and completed stations. Post program I completed a mock assessment and treatment plan.

RT Pumpkin Palooza | October 2024

• Special event designed for adults with disabilities. Paired up with a participant and enjoyed carving pumpkins, a dance party and pumpkin competition.

Let's Make Art! York County Summer Camp | June 2024,  August 2024, June 2025

• Worked three separate week-long art camp sessions designed for elementary schoolers. I assisted in facilitating various creative projects.

Adaptive P.E at Crittenden Middle School | May 2024-June 2024

• Volunteered and observed an adaptive P.E class for students with autism and severe intellectual disabilities. learned about types of adaptive equipment, documentation (IEPs), and programming.

Aid Another: Adaptive Dance Class | April 2024

• Volunteered in a 6-week dance class designed for children with mental, physical, and/or developmental impairments

Teen & Tween Caregiver Valentine Celebration | February 2024

• Volunteered at this nonprofit Valentine's Day dance party designed for families with teens with disabilities.

ODU Special Wheelchair Tournament | April 2023

• Observed and assisted in the wheelchair tournament for the local teams in the area.
